Nicole Pinson is the Tampa Family Health Centers (TFHC) Garden Manager. Nicole coordinates the community garden, volunteer program, and the Food Rx food pantry at the Osborne Ave. center with a grant from the USDA-NRCS. The program and garden aim to share gardening skills, teach healthy nutrition, promote wellness, improve health outcomes, and grow food for patients, volunteers, and the community. Prior to this role, Nicole worked as the UF/IFAS Extension Hillsborough County Horticulture Agent and Master Gardener Volunteer Coordinator. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Science and Policy and a Master of Education Degree in Secondary Education: Curriculum and Instruction with Specialization: Instructional Technology. Nicole is a Tampa native and enjoys gardening, running, and spending time in Florida’s parks.
